Description
Small Mortal Mammals is a moving meditation on death, loss, and the strong bonds we feel with our pets. Robin Tatlow-Lord’s supple, expressive linework and lyrical writing captures a wealth of emotion in this short autobiographical tale.
Produced for subscribers to the 2018 Minicomic of the Month Club, Small Mortal Mammals is now also available through Amplified Press’s online store and select retailers. Robin’s previous comics include the anthropomorphic body-positivity story Round, improvised short story series Pettyfolly and an adaptation of Australian author Nick Earls’s short story Problems with a Girl and a Unicorn in Griffith Review. She received the Colin Thiele Scholarship for Creative Writing in 2011, and her first animated short was nominated for a South Australian Screen Award. Small Mortal Mammals is her most touching work yet.
